
In 2009 Elk Grove's Bobby McMahan returned to the seat of a sprint car in fulltime fashion and drove the team's Racing for the Troops #26 Maxim Sprint Car to the Silver Dollar Speedway track championship in. In addition to his most recent title, McMahan has a long list of accolades during his open wheel racing career that began in quarter-midgets in 1972.
McMahan is a former Northern Auto Racing Club Speedweek Champion. He placed in the top ten each season with the club from 1986 until 1998. In 1996 McMahan won the inaugural USAC Western States Sprint Car feature Madera Speedway. He has multiple victories in winged sprint cars on both dirt and asphalt as well in several prestigious venues including USAC, the Golden State Challenge, NARC, the Civil War sprint car series and numerous local tracks.
In 2010 Bobby McMahan will lead the team on a "California Outlaw" schedule as they will race at multiple venues throughout the year in California, Nevada and the Pacific Northwest.
